يوم الطبيب المصري.. خطوات جريئة نحو تحسين حياة أصحاب البالطو الأبيض

احتفلت نقابة الأطباء، برئاسة الدكتور أسامة عبد الحي، اليوم السبت، بالذكرى السابعة والأربعين ليوم الطبيب المصري، والذي يتزامن مع 18 مارس من كل عام، وقد تم تأجيل الاحتفال سابقًا؛ وذلك تخليدًا لذكرى افتتاح أول مدرسة للطب في مصر والشرق الأوسط في “أبو زعبل” يوم 18 مارس 1827.

وفي تصريحات سابقة، أشار نقيب الأطباء إلى أن النقابة قررت تأجيل احتفالها السنوي بيوم الطبيب إلى 10 مايو الجاري، نظرًا لقدوم عيد الفطر المبارك وعيد القيامة المجيد؛ مما يتيح الفرصة لمشاركة أكبر عدد من الأطباء في هذا الحدث المهم.

جاء ذلك بحضور مجموعة من الشخصيات البارزة مثل د. محمد عوض تاج الدين مستشار رئيس الجمهورية للشؤون الصحية، ود. خالد عبد الغفار نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الصحة والسكان، ود. أشرف حاتم رئيس لجنة الصحة بمجلس النواب، ود. عادل العدوي رئيس الجمعية الطبية المصرية وزير الصحة والسكان الأسبق.

واستهل الحفل بتقديم الترحيب لجميع الحضور من شيوخ ورواد وأساتذة مهنة الطب.

كما أعرب عن خالص الشكر والتقدير للرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي على رعايته الكريمة لحفل يوم الطبيب السابع والأربعين، مشيرًا إلى توجيه الرئيس بضرورة تحسين أوضاع الأطباء والارتقاء بالخدمات الصحية المقدمة للمواطنين.

احتفالية يوم الطبيب المصري

أكد نقيب الأطباء أن هذه التوجيهات تمثل مسؤولية كبيرة تتطلب العمل الجاد من الجميع، مشيرًا إلى أن أحد أبرز المطالب التي تحققت مؤخرًا هو صدور قانون المسؤولية الطبية الذي كان مطلبًا رئيسيًا للأطباء منذ سنوات عديدة.

ووجه نقيب الأطباء شكره الخاص لشيوخ المهنة وكبار الأساتذة في مختلف المحافظات بدءًا من الإسكندرية وحتى أسوان، وكذلك جميع النقابات الفرعية على جهودهم الكبيرة في مناقشة مشروع قانون المسؤولية الطبية بعمق وجدية وتضامنهم مع النقابة العامة للأطباء.

وشدد على أن تلك المناقشات الجادة والدعم القوي لموقف النقابة كانت السبب الرئيسي في الوصول إلى أفضل صيغة ممكنة للقانون والتي ستسهم في تحقيق قدرٍ من الاستقرار لمقدمي الخدمات الطبية.

كما أكد نقيب الأطباء أن التحديات التي تواجه القطاع الصحي أكبر من أن يتحملها طرف واحد بمفرده، مشيرًا إلى وجود ملفات كثيرة لا تزال بحاجة للعمل والتنسيق المشترك مثل تحسين بيئة العمل في المستشفيات وتأمينها لمنع أي اعتداءات على الأطباء أو المنشآت الصحية وضرورة تحسين أجور الأطباء وتحمل وزارة الصحة لنفقات الدراسات العليا وتوفير سكن ملائم يليق بالأطباء بجانب تطوير التعليم الطبي ومعالجة آثار الإهمال التراكمي الذي استمر لعقود طويلة.

ومن جانبه عبر د. خالد عبد الغفار عن سعادته بالمشاركة في احتفالية يوم الطبيب السابع والأربعين مؤكدًا أن هذا اليوم يحمل قيمة كبيرة تقديرًا لجهود هؤلاء الذين يتحملون مسؤولية واحدة من أنبل وأشرف المهن ممن يعول عليهم الشعب المصري آماله دائمًا داخل مصر وخارجها.

وقال عبد الغفار إن أبناء المهنة الطبية يمثلون سفراء حقيقيين لمصر في الخارج ينقلون صورتها المشرفة بتفانيهم وإخلاصهم في أداء رسالتهم كما يعمل الجميع جاهدين على تطوير منظومة العمل عبر تحديث العديد من الإجراءات والسياسات على مستوى الجمهورية.

وأضاف أنه يجري حاليًا تفعيل قانون المسؤولية الطبية حيث بدأ التواصل مع رئيس مجلس الوزراء لتشكيل اللجنة العليا للمسؤولية الطبية والتي ستضم ممثلين عن وزارة الصحة ووزارة التعليم العالي والجهاز المركزي للتنظيم والإدارة بالإضافة إلى الجهات المعنية كافة مؤكدًا أهمية وجود تأمين ضد مخاطر المهنة للأطباء.

وأشار إلى أن القانون الجديد يمثل نقلة نوعية حيث يتضمن لأول مرة أحكاماً واضحة بشأن حماية المنشآت الصحية والعاملين بها ضد التعدي اللفظي أو الجسدي بالإضافة إلى آليات جديدة للمساءلة الطبية تستند إلى لجان فنية متخصصة بما يحقق التوازن بين حقوق المرضى ومقدمي الخدمة الطبية.

وشدد على ضرورة البدء في تطبيق القانون الجديد وأن القوانين قابلة للتعديل سواء بالإضافة أو الحذف مع مرور الوقت والتطبيق العملي على أرض الواقع.

وأكد الوزير عمل الوزارة بالتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة لتيسير اشتراطات تسجيل الأطباء بدرجاتهم المختلفة بما فيها الاستشاريون والزملاء الجدد واستمرار عمل اللجنة الدائمة للتسجيل الطبي وبذل الجهود لمعالجة معوقات التكليف للأطباء حديثي التخرج.

Addittionally, we are not only focusing on providing services but also working on continuous education and training, as we have decided to develop all living accommodations for doctors across the republic to match the dignity of the Egyptian doctor, and we have already started implementing this at an estimated cost of 50 million pounds annually.

Moreover, the Minister of Health emphasized that the ministry is striving to work in every possible area to improve doctors’ conditions and comprehensively develop the health system stating: “Have we achieved everything required? Certainly not, but we are moving confidently with a heart full of belief that this segment of society deserves much more because they give so much and rely on them.”

D. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President for Health Affairs, stated that Egyptian Doctor’s Day is a magnificent occasion celebrated annually in appreciation of doctors’ efforts and their dedication to serving patients adding that Egyptian doctors have proven their competence under crucial circumstances including during the October War and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic which claimed many lives among physicians while fulfilling their duties.

Awad Tag El-Din also mentioned during his speech that President Sisi’s support for the medical system has led to significant breakthroughs such as eliminating waiting lists which once included nearly two million surgical operations in addition to launching presidential initiatives for early cancer detection and eradicating Hepatitis C.

The Presidential Health Advisor discussed the Medical Liability Law explaining its goal of protecting medical staff and hospitals adding that it was enacted thanks to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s directives commending Dr. Osama Abd El-Hai’s role as head of the Doctors’ Syndicate along with Dr. Ashraf Hatem’s contribution as head of Parliament’s Health Committee in discussing this important legislation.

D. Ashraf Hatem emphasized that celebrating “Egyptian Doctor’s Day” at Dar Al-Hekma represents a prestigious national event honoring Egypt’s physicians who consistently stand at the forefront defending citizen health noting that “Dar Al-Hekma” will always be a haven for Egyptian doctors and a source of pride and belonging.

The Chairman of Parliament’s Health Committee pointed out that over past years they promised tangible steps towards educational advancement and training indeed cooperation with government resulted in issuing laws related to Egyptian Health Council along with Medical Liability Law coordinated with Doctors’ Syndicate covering all practitioners within healthcare teams expected to be implemented within six months.

The committee will begin discussions tomorrow regarding healthcare budget for fiscal year 2025/2026 which is largest in Egypt’s history confirming health care & education remain top priorities while continuing collaboration with government & professional unions aimed at amending Law No.14 Year 2014 establishing unified regulations for public hospitals whether affiliated with Ministry Of Health universities or authorities .

D.Hatem concluded by affirming “the road still remains long towards improving financial situations for doctors however we’ve started our journey together through cooperation between government parliament syndicates until every individual within healthcare team receives what they deserve both materially & morally.”.

Durning celebration The syndicate honored several senior professors pioneers medicine including name late Dr.Mamdouh Salama , Professor Dr.Assem Hamdi pioneer internal medicine diabetes Harvard University , Professor Dr.Mazen Naga pioneer endoscopy digestive system , Professor Dr.Mokhtar Madkour pioneer respiratory diseases , Professor Dr.Mohamed Metini pioneer liver transplantation ex president Ain Shams University along with late name Prof.Dr.Imad Zareef anesthesia intensive care professor .

A large number senior professors were honored by syndicate due their noble contributions field Medicine alongside exemplary physicians nationwide above age below age while recognizing exemplary mothers among female physicians .

The general Doctors’ Syndicate also recognized several media professionals including journalist Emad Din Hussein chief editor Shorouk newspaper member Senate media personality Sherif Amer Ibrahim Eissa journalist doctor Ibrahim Kurdani member Journalists Union Mohammed Gharhi .
